This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

“Tribulations of a Chinaman in China” (French: “Les Tribulations d’un Chinois en Chine”) is an adventure novel, much like Verne’s better known novel “Around the World in Eighty Days.” “Tribulations…” is the story of the extremely wealthy Kin-Fo who loses his fortune and decides to die, but not before experiencing some strong emotions. He hires his old mentor and friend, the philosopher Wang, to kill him before a given date. Everything changes when Kin-Fo discovers he is not poor after all and he sets out on a journey around China, trying to find his friend to cancel their deal. Hetzel first published Verne’s novel in 1879. It was later republished with a new color cover by Paul Souze (shown in the photograph)
